These ultrasound waves are targeted in that particular area such that the fat molecules of that region breakdown to give free fatty acids that mix with the blood cells. A hot favourite at LFW Fall/Winter 2009she has worked with some of the best names in the fashion business like Emanuel Ungaro, Rina Dhaka, Rohit Bal, Rocky S and Suneet Verma. Diana Penty from Elite Model Management was in the news for the very first time when she replaced the equally beautiful Deepika Paduk one as the face of international cosmetics giant Maybelline New York. Being the official model of the prestigious New York Fashion Week and a known face on international ramp, this 24 year diva enlists her simple yet classic preferences in life with stylekandy.com

How did modelling started I was in college when Farrokh Chothiadid a candid shoot with me and sent my head shots to Elite Model Management, who signed me up. I did not immediately start modelling as I always wanted to finish my college first, so Elite only booked me for few assignments and once I finished my college modelling became my profession. You love being a model becauseIt’s a good feeling to be recognized, the feeling that I get after giving my best shot and of course the travel. Most of my travel is to places my work takes me and it’s a different city each time. This is exactly why I love what I do.
And the dark side of modelling is…You are always under scrutiny. You have to be ready to be judged at all times.

Fashion For you is. I feel fashion is all about having a right attitude and being grounded at the same time, once you are comfortable in your own skin, you can carry off anything with style. What appeals to you more- Walking on the ramp or posing for print ads? Both have their own appeal. Ramp is more about the adrenaline rush because I know there are many people looking at me and I can not falter. Print is fun and its exciting to see the results once it’s out. Foreign models getting preferences India? Your take Its a trend now, may change in the future.

What keeps you fit? I exercise and have a healthy lifestyle. The truth is I have always been on the smaller side when I was younger; I went through a phase when I desperately tried putting on weight. Today, I can use this to my advantage. I eat everything and more than any of my friends! I workout and used to do yoga. I must confess that I don’t need hard workouts to stay in shape though.

And your beauty secretI follow basic guidelines for a good skin regime — drinking lots of water, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly and eating healthy. I cleanse, tone, and moisturise my skin daily and always make sure to use sunscreen before I step out. One golden rule to cope up with all the pressure, competition in this fieldI always make it a point to give my best shot when I am working. I dont feel any pressure or competition from outside because for me everyone has their own potential and they work according to it.

Summer is coming. Many women are worried about their skin, but how should we go to protect our skin. I guess most people will choose use the sunscreen, but is it really healthy for our skin or not?

Slathering on sunscreen at the first hint of sunshine has become commonplace – we’re far more sun safety conscious than a decade ago and spend a lot of money a year on products designed to ward off the sun’s rays.

Despite this, cases of skin cancer are continuing to rise and the main cause remains overexposure to the sun. Could it be that the creams we use, or misuse, can cause as many problems as they attempt to solve?

Some experts have found the chemicals used to deactivate UV rays (most commonly cinnamates, benzophenones and amino benzoic acid) react adversely with sunlight when they are absorbed, possibly causing DNA damage.

Concern has also been raised about the chemical preservatives used in sunscreens, and other ingredients, seeping through the top layer of the skin.

A Swedish study found benzophenone-3 (or B-3), a popular sunscreen ingredient, in the urine of people who had applied no more than the recommended dose of sunscreen up to 48 hours before.

Studies have shown that tomatoes, which are rich in antioxidants and the lycopene, could prove a weapon against sun damage.

Undoubtedly, though, the best advice and the most important factor in fighting sun damage and skin cancer is our own sun behaviour.

And that means wearing a hat and finding a tree whenever it gets hot. It is the easiest way to protect our skin. The love for beauty is a nature of all human beings, so don get its opposite when you do something. Everyone should choose some ways which suitable themselves, and then we will be successful.

The idea of the beauty salon is not a new one. In fact, going back to ancient civilizations, we can see that hairstyles and the people who loved them have been setting fashion trends for thousands of years. Even though through the ages hairstyles, cuts, and trends have changed hundreds of times, there are some things that have remained constant through time, like women wearing long braids or wigs, men keeping hair clipped or shaved short, and even coloring hair is not a new, modern practice.

The ancient Egyptians would get their hair clipped very close to the head, especially in the upper classes, in order to don full, fancy wigs atop their heads for special occasions, public outings, and ceremonies. The womens wigs were adorned with gold and ivory trinkets, and were long and often braided. The beauty salons back then were where these wigs were ordered and made. Women in ancient Greece often had long hair, tightly pulled back. Even at this early time, women would dye their hair red and sprinkle gold powder on the hair, decorating their coiffures with tiaras and flowers. Men wore their hair short and often shaved, probably for comfort and convenience when putting on their gladiator helmets. Beauty salons during this time were inside palaces of the rich and noble, though there were also some on the streets for the commoners as well.

Ancient Rome for much of its time had been a society of copycats, where the norm was to follow the lead of the Greek fashions. Some Roman styles saw women dying their hair blond or wearing wigs made from the hair of slaves that had been captured. Beauty salons in Rome began to make hairstyles more ornate and elaborate, to the point that hair was often styled around wire frames that women wore on their heads. The upper classes were tended to by slave cosmetologists and there emerged many beauty salons and barber shops for different classes to frequent. In the Middle East, hair was traditionally hidden completely when out in public, although men would go to salon bathhouses and wash their long hair in a henna rinse, compliments of the local salon stylist.

Traditionally in China, young girls wore their hair in braids, which required the help of a friend or hair stylist, and womens hair was pulled back and wound around in a bun. Mens heads were traditionally shaved, except for part of the back of the head, which would grow long and stay braided. In Japan, the hairdresser of a Geisha certainly had her work cut out for her, styling the womens hair heavily with lacquer decorations in very large ornate styles.

During the 15th century, the time of the Renaissance saw one of the most painful hair trends ever to hit beauty salons. Women during this era would not only pluck their eyebrows, but would pluck the entire front hairline that ran across their head in order to make it look like they had higher foreheads! Obviously the old saying Beauty is Pain rang loud and clear to women back then, too. This crazy era was followed by women rushing to beauty salons for white face powder and red wigs, in order to keep up with the fashion trends that had been set by Queen Elizabeth with her super pale complexion and bright red hair.

Thus we have a very brief summary of some of the different hairstyles that beauty salons everywhere were called upon to create for customers. Whether it was a long braided wig in Ancient Egypt or a good old fashioned hairline plucking, hairstylists have always been sought after to give people what they want in hairstyles.
